I have always been told that I had a skill for creating the perfect gift, whether it was for an intimate dinner, a casual baby shower, or an elaborately themed birthday party. Needless to say, I generally turn almost every holiday into a huge affair! Entertaining is my passion, and I feel that no occasion is complete without the perfect parting thank-you.

In the recent planning of my largest and most challenging party - my wedding - I came across a very large obstacle. I noticed there was a distinct lack of the unique and memorable highlights that make an event truly your own. This was particularly true when I was searching for that perfect wedding favor. I feel that it is very important to send guests home with a token of the evening that will provide them a memory to last a lifetime. After seeing the same mass produced, unimaginative trinkets everywhere I looked, I knew other people must be facing the same issue. I also faced the challenge that many other brides encounter …the dreaded budget. With a large party or wedding, floral centerpieces can get very expensive. I hoped to find a beautiful and decorative gift to display in the center of the table, or on each guests plate. Something in my chosen colors that would be both elegant and meaningful.

It was with these ideas, that The Custom Cadeau was born, fulfilling both a dream and a vision. To provide creative and custom favors, for any event, that would have guests reminiscing on the night far after it was over. Throughout the process of bringing The Custom Cadeau to life, I have consulted with corporate event planners, brides to be, caterers and more. All areas of design are so exciting to me, and I believe each and every experience I have had has helped to shape this business that I am so passionate about.

I began my career in design after studying at both The University of Texas at Austin as well as The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. From there, I created international licensing designs for Donna Karan before finding my way back to Texas to explore my creativity with wedding dresses and costume design. I feel a genuine delight in creating with color, imagination, and distinctiveness.
